Confessions of a True Believer
Today, it is sunny, and a mere 11 degrees as I write this. I am not a cold weather fan, but my husband, an avid outdoorsman, does not have any intention of moving to warmer climates anytime soon. As a result, I am here most of the colder months and the older I get, the more I notice the weather wreaking havoc on my skin. I have been through more hand moisturizer in 2 weeks than I used the last 6 months.
About 3 years ago, on a day just like today, I remember looking in the mirror. It really was one of those A-ha! moments that we have once in a while-- a moment that stops you in your tracks and changes the course of your direction.
I have a spot in my bedroom where at certain times of the day the sun comes in the window just right and I can see in the mirror, like it or not, every hair, every line, every discoloration on my skin. I remember looking at myself and thinking…oh no. Who was this person I was looking at? I needed to do something. The skin on my face looked dull, dry, and I could see wrinkles under my eyes-I mean, it was noticeably not good. That night I ordered some products from an online company and tried them out. I tried out many products over the next few years. I kept records of the ones that worked well for the cost, and I now use a variety of products every single day on my face and neck. What I have learned most is this: you just have to use these skin care products if you want to improve the look and texture of your skin. It is as simple as that. These products do work.
